Although Vehicles on Ovrint are commodities like any others, we have decided to create a special section to talk about their insurance coverage due to the challenges that come with car rental including:
-Potential damage to your vehicle
-The need for additional insurance coverage
-Possible disputes over car condition
-Potential legal complexities regarding insurance and liability
– The theft of your vehicle
Who Is Responsibility For My Car Insurance
The short anwer once again is : YOU
Just like on the other item safety page, Ovrint is not responsible for your vehicle insurance or any thing whatsoever regarding your vehicleÂ
You MUST talk to your insurance company and buy the coverage that fits your activities and goals with Ovrint.
We DO NOT intervene in any dispute between renters and commodities owners. In case of any dispute, you should contact your insurance company, law enforcement, or seek legal advice.
Our recommendations
Although we do not insure your vehicles, we do however have a few suggestions that you could add to the dispositions that you may already have or thinking about implementing with your insurance companies
A few things that we encourage commodities owners to do are:
1- Operate in your city. Keep it nearby
2- Always take a picture of the renter’s ID
3- Always take a picture of the tag of the renter’s vehicle.
4- Make sure that the picture of the ID and the address match the ones on his Ovrint profile picture.
5- If the ID’s picture or the address on the ID are different from the one on his profile, you should not close that deal or seek additional proof to double check the identity.
6- You could even find ways to do a background check on your clients.Â
